I’d tried to drink a beer from every continent this week. My brother was good enough to point out via Facebook comment that Antarctica would be a good one. My snappy comeback would be that the Olympic flag only has five rings and I’ve done one better. Anyways, today was “Asia” day. I didn’t have one handy. I popped into the two closest stores at lunchtime, and this is the best I could do. Sapporo is “Japan’s Oldest Brand”, but you have to remember that Sapporo bought Canada’s Sleeman Brewery in 2006. This Japanese beer was brewed in Canada. Curses! Anyways, I’ll have to assume that it was brewed from authentic ingredients before being put in this authentic 20-sided can. It’s a bit too light for my tastes. It would go well with a light and crispy tempura, perhaps one fried in Canada from authentic ingredients, but I don’t have any handy.
